Total Electrics and Air-Conditioning have installation dates available in February and are one of the approved suppliers.
After helping thousands of eligible Victorians increase their thermal comfort and quality of life by reducing the upfront cost of purchasing energy-efficient reverse-cycle air conditioners, the Home Heating and Cooling Upgrades Program (HHCU) will close applications on 30 December 2022.
Once customers receive a rebate token, they will have until 30 April 2023 to accept a quote and arrange installation through an approved supplier.
Am I eligible?
To be eligible for this program households must:
- Be an owner-occupier household with an approved concession card, or with a combined household income of less than $90,000.
- Install a reverse-cycle air conditioner from the Home Heating and Cooling Upgrades Program approved products list by an approved Home Heating and Cooling Program Supplier.
- Replace an existing gas space heater, Fixed Electric Heater or reverse-cycle air-conditioner that is older than 7 years, gas ducted heater, wood heater or no heating situated in the main living area of the home with an energy-efficient reverse-cycle air conditioner.
As part of the program, decommissioning is required for gas space heaters, Fixed Electric Heaters and reverse-cycle air-conditioners older than 7 years.
